Liranzo Hearing From CU

Adam Liranzo is one of a handful of players from St. Bonaventure in Ventura, California getting looks this recruiting cycle. Colorado was one of the schools to call him this month and the Buffs are on his leader board. Liranzo is a rangy safety with great size.

As a junior, Adam Liranzo had 46 tackles, nine passes broken-up, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. This season, through three games, he has 10 tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble.

Liranzo is being recruited as a free safety and a cornerback. "I have great height," he says. "I am a physical player and I have great speed."

The defensive back has no offers to date, but is receiving interest from Boise State, Nevada, Colorado, UNLV, and Dartmouth. All have called him this month. "My favorites are UCLA, Utah, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, and Colorado.

"I know Colorado is a good school with a nice campus. Coach Borbely called me and he seems like a real nice guy. He spoke with my parents and they also liked him. He says they are real interested in me and that I need to send some more tape to get the other coaches as excited about me as he is."

Liranzo has not yet scheduled any visits.

He carries a 3.4 core GPA and is taking the next SAT available. Liranzo would like to major in Business.
