Big-Time Visitor Coming in This Weekend

Only two weekends into the official visit part of the recruiting cycle and Colorado is hosting some impressive high school stars. The nation's no.17 running back, Mon Williams, from Horn High School in Mesquite, Texas, was scheduled to visit CU for the Texas A&M game but had to take the SAT. The four star prospect will now use one of his five alloted official trips to check out Boulder this weekend.

"I am going to Colorado for the Kansas game and that is the only visit I have scheduled right now," explained Mon Williams. "I know that I will probably also officially visit Florida and Texas A&M, and I am not sure on the other two."

Williams is also not sure how many written offers he has at this point. "It is so many, I cannot even keep count of all them."

He likes seven schools. "Florida is still out in front, and then in no particluar order, I like Texas A&M, Colorado, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Michigan State, and Texas."

Williams had planned to attend the CU-Texas game over the weekend.

On the season, he has 218 attempts for 1,300 yards and 13 touchdowns.

The running back is being recruited to Boulder by Coach Inge. "I want to see what the campus is like there. Coach Inge tells me they need a good, big back with speed. He thinks I could be a powerful runner there and tells me that it is a good place to be."

Williams carries a 3.1 core GPA and is awaiting his SAT score. He is unsure what he would like to major in.
