Mesquite, Texas, running back Mon Williams (6-2.5, 198, 4.45) has shuffled his previous list of favorites.

"Right now I am looking at Colorado, Florida, LSU, Alabama and Texas A&M," said Williams of Horn High School. "Those are the ones that I am looking at taking my officials to." All favorites have offered.

His previous list of favorites included two of his current favorites in Florida and Texas A&M, as well as Kansas State, Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. "The ones I am planning on taking officials to are the ones I am focusing on the most right now," he said.

When asked if he has a favorite among his group of leaders, he responded, "not really."

"I was in Colorado about two weeks ago for my first official visit (Nov. 5) and I will be at Florida on the 26th for their game against Florida State," he added.

"The trip to Colorado was good, real good," he expressed. "My friend, Dominque Brooks, was my host. I've known him for my whole life, so it was good to catch up with him and just hang out and be real comfortable with my host. I was shown all around the campus, the dorms, everything. He also showed me the mountains up there. It was cool.

"I already knew some of the players on the team from being at games before. So, it was real comfortable with them, too. Kind of like, 'Hey, how you been doing?'

"They played Missouri when I was there. It was an intense atmosphere! A lot of the fans had their shirts off, and it was cold, too! The fans really care about the players -- very supportive," Williams expressed.

He added, "The whole trip, from the flight to the nice hotel and being on my own really made it a fun experience. The hotel was really nice, kind of like a suite. It was the Omni Hotel. It was just really nice. I enjoyed the trip."

Williams finished his senior season two weeks ago with 285 carries for 1,650 yards and 17 touchdowns, 415 yards receiving, and two kick returns for touchdowns. Horn High ended with a 4-6 record.
