Four Star Dean in Boulder Next Friday

Colorado is in need of wide receivers to come in and play as freshman. Delashaun Dean, ranked the No.21 wideout in the nation, is the exact kind of player that could compete right away in Boulder. He missed this entire season with an ACL tear, but that has not stopped schools from offering.

Delashaun Dean suffered an ACL tear in the third game of the season. He had three touchdowns at that point. Dean has written offers from Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, and Nebraska. "My top schools are Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon," Dean said. "After them, I like Colorado and Oregon State.

"I like the staff at all of these schools. At Arizona, the coaches are real cool. I am being recruited there by (UA linebackers coach Tim) Kish and Coach (wide receivers coach Charlie) Williams. They are coming to my house for an in-home visit on the 28th of this month and then I am visiting there on December 3rd. I could probably play the earliest there.

"I really like the staff at Arizona State. I am visiting there on December 10th. I am being recruited by Coach (ASU quarterbacks coach Mark) Helfrich.

"Colorado is telling me how much they need me because they are down at the receiver position. I could probably play as a freshman there. Coach Bray is recruiting me. They are also ranked 18th right now so that looks good on them."

Dean says his Mother does not have a favorite. "She is comfortable with my top five and wouldn't mind me going to any one of the schools on my list."

He plans on taking his visits before deciding. "I will see all the places I like before I decide. I will probably make my choice in December or January."

The receiver carries a 2.8 core GPA and scored an 800 on the SAT. "I have to get 20 more points to be qualified."

The Buffalo Sports News will catch-up with Dean after the visit to Boulder for his thoughts.
