Wolfe Sets Visit to Boulder

Ian Wolfe has become one of Colorado's top targets in-state. The Fort Collins offensive lineman says that the Buffs' staff is recruiting him the hardest out of any of the schools that have offered. It looks like it is coming down to three college choices for Wolfe and CU has made the final cut.

Ian Wolfe has been named a first team all-conference selection as a junior and senior on the offensive side of the ball. He dabbles at defensive tackle but all schools see him as an O-Tackle or Guard. "I prefer to play offensive tackle," Wolfe says. "Colorado and Kansas like me at tackle and Wisconsin likes me at guard. Those are my top three schools. I do not have a leader right now.

"I grew up a fan of Colorado and I have been talking to their coaches, a lot. Coach Hank is recruiting me and I also hear from Coach Borbely. My parents are CU and CSU fans. I am visiting Boulder on December 9th.

"I have a sister that goes to Kansas - she's a senior. I like it in Lawrence. I got to speak with Coach (Mark) Mangino just last night so that was real cool. I will be going there on January 6th."

One other visit is possible. "I might visit Washington State."

Wolfe previously took an unofficial visit to Kansas State. "I didn't really like it too much out there. I did not like the area and they are kind of down right now."

The offensive lineman has nine offers in all. He holds written offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington State, Wisconsin, Kansas, Kansas State, and New Mexico State.

In addition to heading to Boulder for an official visit in December, Wolfe will be in town this weekend. "I'll be there for the Nebraska game. I went to the CSU game earlier in the season."

Fort Collins lost in the playoffs last weekend to Arvada West, 49-42.

Wolfe carries a 3.6 core GPA and scored a 25 on the ACT. He would like to major in Business.
