Colorado in Contention for Mitchell

Colorado needs playmakers at the receiver position and that has been abundantly clear all season long as the CU receivers have struggled to stretch the field and make yards after the catch. Chris Mitchell, from Marrero, Louisiana is the type of player that could come to Boulder and immediately make an impact at ths position. He visited for the Nebraska game and saw how much he could help.

"I got there Thursday night and checked into the hotel," Chris Mitchell said. "Friday morning I went into the team meetings and got to see the preparation for the game. During the game, I was on the sidelines with a lot of the other recruits. After the game I went on a tour around the campus."

Mitchell was hosted by former John Ehret star, and current Buff, Thaddaeus Washington. "He was just telling me it is a nice place, but that it is a different place. He said it will change me as a person."

The Bayou athlete had the chance to sit down with Coach Hagan. "He thinks I would be a perfect fit in the program and he thinks I could help them right away. After watching them play, I think I could really help them, too."

Where do the Buffs stand after the trip? "They are in contention. I just want to take my visits and see how things play out."

Mitchell's season is now over with and he is focusing on upcoming visits. He has LSU on December 9th. "I know I will also visit Mississippi in December, and Tennessee and Miami in January sometime."
