As a senior, Jason Robinson had 1,567 yards passing with 11 touchdowns and 997 yards rushing with 21 touchdowns. On defense, he had 108 tackles, four interceptions and three sacks. Robinson was named co-league MVP.
Most schools see him as a free or strong safety. "It does not matter to me where I play," Robinson explained. "I know football because I study the game. My athletic ability helps me to be a great player. I can really hit. I play like a guy that runs a 4.4 fourty because I am always in the right spots."
Robinson has written offers from Boise State, San Jose State and Utah State. "My trip to Boise went real good this weekend. They are high on my list now. It was only my first visit so I have nothing to compare it to. There are definitely more positives there than negatives. It was better than I expected. My Dad also enjoyed it."
The athlete is being recruited to BSU by cornerbacks coach Marcel Yates. "Coach Yates told me he is 85 percent sure he is staying at Boise. I know Coach Bandison and Riddle are going to Colorado and the Strength and Conditioning Coach made it seem like he was to. Coach Yates told me that he wants me to be wherever he is, so if he goes to Colorado he wants me there with him.
"My father sent a couple players to Colorado from Locke. He sent Medford Moorer and Darian Hagan. He tells me a lot of positive things about their program. It has always been a place I was interested in."
Robinson is visiting Utah on January 7th and that is his only other visit scheduled at this point.
He carries a 3.3 core GPA and scored a 1490 on the SAT. Robinson would like to major in Business Administration.
