After meeting with Ron Collins at a local IHOP, Wes Simon is sold on CU once again. "I am still committed to Colorado," Simon said emphatically. "Coach Collins and I talked about the team and I am excited about him. I also hear Coach Hawkins is a great person and I am excited about meeting him in person. He is coming to town for dinner the week after next. Coach Collins was stressing that they want to win a National Championship there and said they will need players like me to do it."

Simon was named a first team all-district selection following his senior season for the second straight year. He is still awaiting the all-area and state picks. The lineman is ecstatic about the new offensive staff in Boulder. "They have some great coaches coming in and I am not sure about the skill position players they will be able to get (in recruiting), but I know they are getting one damn good lineman."

The future Buff has also spoken with CU's new offensive line coach, Chris Strausser. "He told me that the best players will play at each position no matter what size they are. I still expect to play center there."
