As a senior, Spencer Paysinger caught 63 passes for 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns. On defense, he intercepted a pass for a touchdown. He was named his league's MVP.
He has written offers from Colorado, Oregon, Wyoming, and Boise State. He visited Oregon last weekend and Wyoming back in December. "I am done with trips now," Paysinger explained. "It is pretty much down to Colorado and Oregon and I will probably decide by Thursday. The Colorado coaches are coming in for a visit on Tuesday or Thursday and I am calling Oregon tonight to see when they are coming."
Coach Hawkins and (Eric) Kiesau are after him for the Buffs. They had a lot to say about how Paysinger would fit in at CU. "They told me I could come in and possibly start as a freshman. They need someone who can go deep and they think I could do that. I liked my trip there. They ran the Buffalo out onto the field for us which was cool and they also took us to the ESPN Zone in Denver."
Paysinger says academics come first for him with his school choice and Oregon has a better situation for his major. "I want to major in Graphic Design and they have a good program for that. I also want to minor in Business. At Colorado, I could probably play earlier which is a plus."
The receiver carries a 2.7 core GPA and scored a 1400 on the new version of the SAT.
