Recruiting and Team SCOOP

A walk-on player has been awarded a scholarship and we get the latest on the newest Buff, Thomas Perez. Will he be in for Spring Ball? We get the latest on current players and transfers. The new staff is already offering in-state juniors. Plus, the addition of Chapelle Brown to the recruiting class could be rewarding in more ways than one.

-Wide Receiver Tim Lemon has been awarded a football scholarship by CU.

-The main reason Lemon was awarded a scholarship, is because incoming recruit Thomas Perez will not be put on football scholarship until the fall. He dropped a class last semester that would have made him elgible had he passed it. He has to make-up the credits this month and will be to CU in February. He cannot participate in spring bacll, but he can attend practices and team meetings.

-As of now, no current players have requested transfers to other schools. That could change after spring ball, but none as of now.

-Running Back Corey Nabors from Rangeview in Denver may be walking on at CU. The BuffaloSports News will have more on that story later today. Nabors rushed for over 2,500 yards this year.

-The CU staff has already given offers to in-state juniors, wide receiver Andrew Davis from Montbello and offensive lineman Ryan Miller from Columbine.

-The addition of cornerback Chapelle Brown could be a big boost for next year. His best friend is Los Altos running back James Davis. Davis, the 5-11, 215 pounder is expected to be one of the best in California for next recrutiing cycle.
