Compton Corner May Visit (Free Content)

When you play on a team that has so many division one prospects on a yearly basis, some times it is easy to get over-looked. That is the scenario Compton Dominguez athlete Elijah Wesson finds himself in. Colorado is still taking a look at Wesson and they just got his highlight tape today. If they like what they see, he could be brought in for a visit this weekend.

Height: 5-10
Weight: 180
40 time: 4.45
From: Compton, California
High School: Dominguez

As a senior, Elijah Wesson had 126 carries for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns.

As a junior, he had three interceptions on defense. "I play bigger than I am and I really work hard," Wesson said.

Wesson says his recruiting has been slow but the Buffs are showing some late interest. "Coach Hagan has been talking to me and he wants to get me there for a visit. I am supposed to be visiting there this weekend. I sent them my transcripts and they are getting my tape, today."

Other schools that had been showing interest include Nevada, Idaho State and Northern Arizona. "Colorado is my favorite right now. If they offer, I will verbally commit to them,"

Despite playing on both sides of the ball, Wesson will play strictly at corner on the college level. "Every school that has shown interest in me likes me on defense."

He carries a 3.1 core GPA and scored an 1158 on the new version of the SAT. He would like to major in Engineering or Architecture.

Talk about this on the Ralphie's Den MESSAGE BOARD.
