Offer is a "Dream Come True" for Miller

Possibly the top player in Colorado for next year, Ryan Miller, told the Buffalo Sports News he was going to meet with Coach Hawkins, yesterday. During the meeting, he received a Colorado scholarship offer, like expected. We spoke with Ryan to find out what kind of impact the scholarship extension had on him.

"It was great," relayed the 6-foot-8 280-pounder from Columbine High School, "The offer is a dream come true. Now that CU has offered me, I have really accomplished a goal."

Although he received his 'dream' offer, Miller is not ready to commit. "I am not ready to commit even though I got the Colorado offer, I mean, not right this second. I still would like to take some visits."

He now holds offers from CU and Nebraska. "That is really kind of ironic. Growing up, I did not like the Huskers when they played Colorado. Coach Callahan is a great guy, though. I can't wait to watch Colorado and Nebraska play in the future. There will be two heavyweight coaches going at it."

Miller met the CU coaches with both of his parents present. "We met with Coach Hawkins for about 20 to 30 minutes. My parents really liked him. Coach Hawkins told me that a commitment would be like a marriage. He told me that you are not going to walk down the aisle with a girl and tell her you are still looking around. I liked the way he put that. It was very straight-forward and honest."

The big O-tackle is mainly looking at Miami, Notre Dame, Colorado and NU.
