As a junior, Levi Salmans was named first team all-conference and state on offense, at tackle. "I get off the ball well and stay low," he explains.
Salmans will be recruited specifically as an offensive tackle even though he is also used as a defensive player at Monarch.
A handful of schools are showing him early attention. "I am hearing the most from San Diego State. I am also getting stuff from Colorado, Colorado State and Kansas State. K-State invited me to their spring game and I might go to that."
He has been to CU and CSU on unofficial visits. "I went to Colorado last year for a camp and I also went up there about a month ago after the new staff got there. I met with a couple of their coaches and they told me a little about the program."
As for Salman's favorites, that may depend on which schools offer Agriculture programs. "Colorado State is my favorite because they have an agriculture program. I also like Kansas State, Nebraska and Texas. I like CU also, but am not too sure about them because they do not offer that major. I could major in something else, but that is really what I would like to study."
The one concern with Salmans is his right knee. "I have a problem with my patella and if it gets worse I will have to have surgery on it. But, I have been playing with it for quite some time so it is not like it stops me."
Salmans carries a 2.37 core GPA.
