"I just got an offer from Colorado State," explained Ethan Adkins. "I now have one from them and Kansas State. I am visiting K-State this weekend, unofficially, for their game against Kansas."

As a junior, Adkins was named honorable mention all-conference. "I am good at staying low and hitting my opponents before they get out of their stance," Adkins boasted. "I never give up on a play and always finish my blocks."

Douglas County Head Coach Jeff Ketron says of Adkins, "He is just what you are looking for in an offensive tackle. He is a prototypical left offensive tackle. He has great feet and long arms. He is the kind of kid that can run well because he is athletic and can also protect his quarterback's blind side."

Adkins has always been a fan of the Colorado schools. "I am basically your typical CU and Colorado State fan. I always root for them when they are on."

The lineman has not spoken with a CU coach in some time. "I have received letters from them but haven't had the chance to talk with them lately."
