2007 CU Prospect: Quarterback Aaron Corp

Colorado will take at least one quarterback this recruiting cycle and the new staff is scouring the nation for the right fit. A player catching their eye is Aaron Corp from Lutheran HS in Orange, California. Corp already has two written offers from Pac Ten schools and has a couple more likely coming his way. CU has shown some interest and he is open to the Buffs.

As a junior, Aaron Corp threw for almost 1,800 yards and 20 touchdowns, while running for almost 700 yards and eight touchdowns. Corp was named his league's MVP and also earned second team all-state under-class honors. "I am a versatile quarterback that can pull the ball down and take off if I have to," says Corp. "I am a tough player."

Corp already had one written offer, from UCLA, to his credit, and then he spoke with coach Jeff Tedford at Cal last Thursday. "He told me the day we spoke that he was offering and that it would be in the mail the next day (Friday). Oregon also called and told my coach they had an offer for me they would be sending. I also have a verbal offer from Arizona."

The Bruins still top his list. "They are my favorite and I also really like Cal and Stanford."

After these three, there are plenty more schools to speak of. "I am looking at Miami, Notre Dame, and Arizona State. I also like Colorado a little."

Corp attended UCLA's Junior Day over the weekend and also has plans to make it to USC's and ASU's.

He has no camp plans at this time other then the elite 11 try-outs.

Colorado, while low on his list at this time, is an intriguing option to Corp. "I do have somewhat of an interest them. They are in a different part of the country that I hear is real nice. They are not a great program but they are pretty strong. That is probably the kind of place I could come into and play right away which is attractive to me."

Corp carries a 3.6 core GPA and is taking the ACT in April. He would like to major in Business.
