AZ Lineman Fond of Colorado

Very rarely do you get a division one player coming out of Northern Arizona but Mitchell Zembik, from Prescott, has a real shot this year. He is receiving letters from across the nation and likes some big-name schools early in the process. Colorado is on his list.

Mitchell Zembik is a versatile lineman that could get looks on either side of the ball at the next level. "A couple of schools have told my coaches that they like me at defensive tackle because of my enthusiasm and intensity," he explained. "My main positions are center and guard, though."

Zembik is receiving correspondence from all over the place. "I get the most stuff from Arizona, Boston College and Florida State. Arizona State has started sending a lot of stuff in the past couple weeks, too."

The lineman who is also a talented long-snapper, attended Arizona's junior day last month and will attend their spring game next month. "Arizona, Arizona State and Boston College are my top three. I also like Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Colorado State."

Zembik visits the Centennial State quite often. "I have probably been out there about four times just in the last year. I was just out there two weeks ago visiting my friend in the military in Colorado Springs who just got back from Iraq. I like to go out there for Snowboarding and I also go out there with a lot of friends because they have family there, too."

He is fond of the Colorado program. "I was kind of disappointed when I heard that they changed staffs, but I like the new staff they have. They seem to have a lot of goals for the program."

The Grand Canyon State native says he plans on attending some combines in California, this summer.

Zembik carries a 2.9 core GPA and is scheduled to take the ACT next month. He would like to major in something to do with the Medical field, possibly Sports Medicine.
