"I got my offer in the mail from Colorado on Friday," James Davis explained. "I was pretty excited. I called the CU coaches to speak with them after I got the offer."

Monrovia is Brian Cabral's recruiting territory. "I spoke with the linebackers coach and he told me that they are really excited about what they've heard about me, but that he still really wants to see my highlight tape so I am going to send that to them this week."

Davis says that the CU offer was based upon when Coach Darian Hagan was watching Los Altos play last year. He was there scouting future Buff Cha'pelle Brown. Davis and Brown are good friends. "I am going to miss him now that I am going to Monrovia," Davis said. "My mom and I are moving in with my grandma. My mom got a different job and it is over by her house."

The talented tailback has changed his favorites' list around a little. "Colorado is my number one right now after the offer - I really like them. I also like Cal, a lot. Cal has always been my favorite school. I also like Rutgers, Boston College, UCLA, and Notre Dame. I have been hearing a lot more from BC, Rutgers, Kansas State, and Georgia Tech."

Davis is going to try to attend the CU and Cal summer camps.
