Buffs Add Corner to '06 Class

When Dan Hawkins had his signing day press conference he mentioned that the staff was still looking to add a couple players to the 2006 recruiting haul. After signing day, they added Tight End Ino Vitale Jr. from American Samoa and now they have added another player. With the departure of Gerett Burl from the team for unspecified reasons, CU decided they needed another corner and they recently signed one with great size.

Height: 6-1
Weight: 200
From: Phoenix, Arizona
High School: South Mountain

Jalil Brown is the latest high school prep to sign on with the Buffs. He has been recruited as a corner to CU and will be in town this fall.

Brown mainly played at running back at the high school level where he set the Arizona 5A single game rushing record with 412 yards in one contest.

Leading up to signing day, all of CU's staff members were asked to recruit by position. Therefore, Brown was recruited by new defensive backs coach Greg Brown. Brian Cabral now heads up recruiting in Arizona for the Buffs.

Word is that Jalil Brown may have had grade issues which may be why he wasn't more heavily recruited before signing day. He may have just recently became a full qualifier.

The Buffalo Sports News will speak with him very soon to get the full story on the latest player to don the black and gold.
