Buffs Still Lead for Davis

Colorado was the first school to offer James Davis and since then Colorado State and Washington State have followed. Davis has been one of the more impressive running backs along the west coast this summer at camps and combines. He gives us the latest in his recruitment and says the Buffs still lead for his services.

After attending various camps and combines this summer, James Davis says the rest of his summer will be pretty low-key. "I will just be hangin' out," Davis explains. "I am going to the B2G camp and then I am going to try to make it to Colorado's elite camp in July. That is about it for me."

Besides the Buffs, Rams and Cougars, Davis is getting interest from other schools, but one specifically. "I think Washington is probably the next closest school to offering."

Cal has always been his favorite, but he is not hearing much from the Bears' staff. "I am just getting a lot of junk mail from them. They are not sending me any personal letters."

A Buff who is good friends with Davis and one that will be on campus soon, Cha'pelle Brown, has been staying in Davis' ear about CU. "Him and I talk a lot and he just keeps telling me all about CU and that I will like it there. He is leaving to move there in two weeks. Colorado is still my leader right now."

Davis is not ready to rush into a decision. "I will wait to make my verbal until after the season, most likely. I want to make some visits first."
