Empire State Quarterback Ike Iloegbu

Colorado has one quarterback commit in this class and chances are the staff will go after another one. The depth chart is anything but deep so it may be a necessity. CU is one of a few schools to offer New York signal caller Ike Iloegbu and the Buffs are one of his favorites.

As a junior, Ike Iloegbu earned second team all-league honors after completing 60 of 89 passes for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also ran for 809 yards and five touchdowns. "I have a way of making stuff happen," he boasts. "I am fast and I react well."

Iloegbu has current written offers from Colorado, Temple and Stony Brook. "Those are the ones that have offered but I think North Carolina State is recruiting the hardest right now."

He likes six schools right now. "My favorite is NC State. I also like Auburn, Colorado, Arkansas, and Buffalo. Arkansas is starting to show me some looks and I want to get in contact with Oregon because I am interested in them."

Colorado offered him about two months ago. "I spoke to Coach Helfrich a few times in May and in June. I have not spoken with him since the beginning of June. They still send a lot of mail. I like the environment at Colorado. The coach tells me they are an up-and-coming program and it sounds like if I went there I would be surrounded by good players."

All schools involved are recruiting Iloegbu as a quarterback.

He has one official visit scheduled which is to Buffalo for their game against Temple, August 31st.

Iloegbu carries a 2,8 core GPA and scored an 1800 on the Pre-SAT. He would like to major in Sports Medicine.
