Buffs Offer Florida Linebacker

Colorado is definitely on the hunt for some linebackers this class as the staff has taken one already and has offered many more. One of the latest to receive a CU offer is Sunshine State product, Hunter Ovens. The Sarasota defender does not know much about CU right now but he is intrigued.

As a junior, Hunter Ovens finished the season with over 100 tackles. He was named first team all-area. "I give my best on every play," Ovens proclaims. "I am always hustling."

He currently has written offers from Colorado, Michigan State, Minnesota, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. "I have about 10 total but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head."

Ovens lists a top three. "My number one is Virginia Tech. Behind them it is Iowa and Ohio State. Iowa is talking about offering but they haven't yet. I haven't received one from Ohio State."

Does he have any interest in the Buffs? "A little, but I do not know too much about them. All I know from them is what I've seen on TV. Their coach text messages me all the time but I can't think of his name right now."

Secondary Coach Greg Brown recruits Florida for CU.

Ovens has not scheduled any official visits yet. "I will probably start doing that when school starts. I will more than likely take all of my visits."

He carries a 3.0 core GPA. Ovens is awaiting his test scores after recently taking them.
