Texas Linebacker is a Buff

Colorado has offered many linebackers this recruiting cycle and they now have commitments from two that were offered. The latest to join the 2007 class is Robert Hall from Friendswood, Texas. Hall becomes the first Lone Star State commit this year.

Robert Hall was named first team all-district and honorable mention all-county as a junior. He was also selected as the defensive MVP on his team.

The Buffalo Sports News had heard rumors the last few days that Hall had committed to CU and was finally able to catch-up with the Buff target to get the scoop. "Yes sir, I committed to Colorado about a week ago," Hall stated. "I had been thinking a lot about Colorado and knew that is where I wanted to go. They have always been my first choice. I really like the linebackers coach there, Coach Cabral. I called and told him and another coach I wanted to commit. They were real happy. They asked me if I was sure I wanted to since I had never seen the campus and I told them 'absolutely'. Colorado just feels right to me."

Hall has been unable to get in-touch with Coach Hawkins since he made the decision. "I have called him but keep missing him. Him and I use to text quite a bit but my phone is broken right now and so that has made it harder for us to get in contact."

Colorado recruited Hall as an outside linebacker. He also had written offers from Houston and Iowa State.

He is trying to officially visit Boulder in September. "That is the plan. I have not scheduled the date yet but that is when I want to go and they told me I could go."

The Friendswood prospect is now just getting ready for the season. "I am just working out and running a lot. I am happy to get my decision out of the way and my family is also really happy about it."
