Grant Comments on Visit to Boulder

There were some talented recruits in Boulder for the Arizona State game last weekend. The BSN caught up with Defensive End prospect Patrick Grant to get his thoughts on the visit. CU is in major need of some defensive ends as their depth chart will be thin next fall after senior starters Abraham Wright and Walter Boye-Doe move on. Patrick Grant thinks he could play immediately in Boulder.

Patrick Grant recorded 48 tackles and 12 sacks as a junior. So far this season through five games, he has 16 tackles and five sacks. Anderson is 3-2 on the season.

Grant has quite a few written offers to his credit. The CU visit last weekend was his first and he has North Carolina State lined up for November 24th and Minnesota set for December 1st. "I am also planning a visit for Nebraska," Grant explained. "I spoke with their coach the other day about setting one. Indiana might be my other one."

The Buffs are Grant's current leader. "Colorado is the only school I have visited so far and I liked it there. They have two defensive ends leaving so there is a spot for me. I could play early there. They have a new coach and he was successful at his last job. While I was there I felt like I was part of the team."

Distance could end up being a factor for Grant. "Colorado is kind of far and my mom would like it if I stayed closer. NC State is closer than Colorado so she would probably prefer if I went there."

Defensive Backs Coach Greg Brown is recruiting Grant for the Buffs.
