Miller Still Leaning Towards Colorado

There is not a more wanted man amongst CU fans this recruiting cycle than in-state target Ryan Miller. The Buffs have lost many top in-state prospects in recent years with the former staff and Miller is the most heavily-recruited player to come out of the state since running back Marcus Houston. He has trimmed his list to a final two schools which are the Buffaloes and the Fighting Irish.

Colorado has not landed a top 100 national prospect in years, let alone a top 25 recruit. Ryan Miller is's no.23 player in the nation. The big man from Littleton is down to two final schools after much thought into the recruiting process. "It is just CU and Notre Dame now," Miller explains. "I will make the decision during the Army All-American game."

Miller trimmed the list to his final two after an unofficial visit to Miami. "I loved Coach (Mario) Cristobal at Miami. He was the best recruiting coach of any of the schools I talk to. But, after going there I just don't see Miami as the right fit for me. Colorado or Notre Dame are better fits."

The Buffs still hold a slight lead. "Yep, I am still leaning towards Colorado. There is upside in both schools.

"Colorado looks like they are starting to pull things together. They just need to keep rolling their sleeves up and getting after it. They are improving every week.

"Notre Dame has a solid structure. They are just doing what they do down there. They are playing well."

Miller is also playing well. "Last game was my best game so far this season. I had over 20 pancake blocks. I think I have between 40-45 now."

Columbine is 3-1 on the year.

Miller has scheduled his official visit to CU for Homecoming against Baylor for the weekend of October 6th. He'll visit Notre Dame for the UCLA game the weekend of October 20th.
