CU fans have 18 days to get their CU pom-poms dusted off and their voices in shape, for what could be the biggest rally in CU history.
On August 30th, the Denver and Buff Club and the CU-Boulder Alumni Association will hold a CU rally at the Denver Center of Preforming Arts Galleria, located on 14th Street at Curtis in Downtown Denver. The "CU vs CSU Smack Down" party will begin at 11:00 am with free hot dogs and Pepsi and will last until 1:00 pm.
Fans will be able to greet former football players at a "Return of the Champions" autograph booth, shoot hoops with CU men and women basketball team members and welcome the CU National Championship cross country team.
The rally will begin promptly at 11:45 am when the voice of the Colorado Buffaloes, Larry Zimmer, former players and CU leaders will kick off a thunderous welcome for Head Coach Gary Barnett and the CU captains.
The event is free and the Buff Clubs are hoping the number of fans to be in attendence will be in the thousands. While Buff fans are located all over the world, the Boulder and Denver Buff Clubs are hoping all CU fans located in Colorado will come and and support the Buffs.
Also announced by the clubs are luncheons in both Denver and Boulder with Coach Gary Barnett. These luncheons will take place throughout the season and will be held in Boulder on Thursdays at the Boulder Country Club or Lazy Dog Restaurant and in Denver on Fridays at Brooklyn's.
