Buffs Offer '08 Prospect

Colleges could officially offer high school juniors beginning in September. The Buffs recently offered one of the top 2008 prospects in California.

San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills defensive end Jamaar Jarrett (6-4, 240), one of the top prospects in the west in the class of 2008, is off to a strong start for the Grizzlies.

"Jamaar is off to a wonderful start," said Mission Hills head coach Chris Hauser. "He is playing great football. Our team is playing well, 4-1. We are ranked this week in the top ten in San Diego County (#10). It is our first ever top ten ranking. We have a big league game this week with San Pasqual."

Jarrett also picked up the first of what should be many offers in September, the earliest that high school juniors could receive official offers.

"He has received an offer from the University of Colorado," said Hauser.

Other schools who have been sending Jarrett mail include Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Louisville, Vanderbilt, Wahington, Oregon, Arizona, Arizona State and Stanford.
