This season, Cam Baker has 695 yards receiving and 11 touchdowns. Rushing, he has almost 200 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively at corner, he has 37 tackles and four interceptions. Baker has helped lead Osceola to a 7-3 record and they are a no.2 seed going into the first round of the playoffs.
In recruiting, Baker claims written offers from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Memphis, and Tennessee. He has one visit scheduled to Georgia Tech, December 8th. "The other schools I will visit are Memphis, Kansas State, Colorado, and probably Oklahoma," Baker explained. "Florida State, Colorado and Oklahoma have recently came in on me."
Baker's older brother, Chris, is a junior receiver for the Razorbacks. But, that does not mean they are a shoe-in to land him. "I have visited Arkansas plenty of times, along with Tennessee. I will go to the school that is the best for me. Just because my brother is at Arkansas doesn't mean that is where I need to be. I want to go to the place that has the most to offer for me athletically and academically. I want to look at all my options."
The receiver claims no favorite among his leaders.
One of those options is now CU. "I speak with Coach (wide receivers coach Eric) Kiesau about once a week. He tells me they are very interested and that they need a deep threat. He says he hears great things about me and just wants to see some more film before offering. I plan on visiting there sometime in January."
