Kayne Farquharson has had an incredible year. He has between 40-45 receptions with 690 yards and six touchdowns. He also has another 500 yards in the return game on special teams. "I am averaging about 17 yards a pop receiving and I have been doing real well on kick returns," Farquharson explains.
El Camino is 8-2 on the year and about to take on Moorpark College in the first round of the playoffs, this Saturday.
Farquhason has been committed to the Miami Hurricanes for a while and at this point it appears that he will stick with that verbal. "Colorado is the school that is coming at me the hardest. I really like Coach Kiesau too. I can speak with him about anything. But, I am a man of my word and I told Colorado that. The playoffs may take me right up into the middle of December so I might not even have a chance to visit Colorado. My signing date is December 20th. If we lose a game and I have a weekend to make a trip, then the plot thickens."
The receiver is from Florida and still has family in the Miami area. "My mom and my two younger sisters live there. They just want what is best for me so they don't have a preference on where I go."
USC has recently started contacting Farquharson. "They tell me that if they go the JC route for a receiver I am the guy they'll look at first. But, they have not offered me yet."
The BSN will keep tabs on the talented Juco because if El Camino loses a game, he could be making a trip to Boulder in the near future.
