Richmond Scheduled to Visit Boulder

With the immediate need for receivers, Colorado has hit the junior college ranks to see if they can pull in a more experienced player to make the CU receiving corps a quick-fix situation. A wideout that will visit Boulder next weekend is four star Sana Ana Junior College receiver David Richmond. Inside, we get his thoughts on the Buffs.

After missing the majority of his freshman season due to a hurt ankle, David Richmond bounced back this year with authority. He ended up with 58 catches for 892 yards and 11 touchdowns. Santa Ana finished the season with a bowl game loss to Glendale. "I was double-covered most the game and ended up with four catches for 44 yards and one touchdown," Richmond explained.

The receiver has nothing but upside as he has only played basketball all of his life. Richmond has three written offers; San Joe State, BYU and Iowa State. "Those are my offers but Colorado is recruiting me the hardest right now. I think they could offer me when I visit there."

That visit will take place on December 8th. First up is San Jose State this weekend. "San Jose is my favorite. They offered me before this season when I had no tape last year. They have been with me from the beginning. I will visit there, Colorado and then probably BYU."

Richmond is being recruited by Coach Kiesau. "He tells me that he liked my highlights from this season and he is looking forward to my visit. He also said that the offensive coordinator likes me."

Other schools that are showing interest in Richmond are Oregon and Arizona State.

The BSN will speak with the prospect after the trip for his thoughts.
