As a senior, playing strictly at receiver, Kendrick Celestine recorded 45 catches for 936 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also carried the ball 17 times for 200 yards and two touchdowns. Celestine made the switch to wideout after a junior year which saw him playing quarterback.
The Bayou athlete has current written offers from Auburn, Colorado, Ol Miss, Tulane, and Colorado. "I am going to visit Colorado next weekend and then I will probably also visit Auburn, Ol Miss, Utah, and maybe LSU," explained Celestine. "Well, we'll see because UCLA called me today and they want some senior film and transcripts. If they become more interested I could visit there."
Coaches Bandison and Kiesau are after the wideout for the Buffs. "When they first started talking to me, Coach Bandison was the one mainly recruiting me but lately it has become Coach Kiesau a little bit more. I usually speak with him now. He is supposed to come by my school today. Coach Kiesau tells me I have a great opportunity to play there as a freshman and that is the main thing I am looking to do."
Celestine proclaims CU is recruiting the hardest and they are in his top two. "I like Colorado and UCLA and I don't have a leader between the two. Coach Todd Howard called me from UCLA last night and I am real interested in them. I also like the other schools I mentioned I might visit."
The BSN will speak with Celestine after his Boulder trip.
