As a senior, James Davis rushed 168 times for 1,436 yards and 16 touchdowns. He had 19 receptions for 400 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, he had 36 solo tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. Davis was named first team all-league and area at running back and first team all-league and second team all-area at cornerback.

Colorado does not have but 1-2 scholarships to give and Davis is a player the staff is still looking at. He intends on visiting CU on the weekend of the 19th. "I scheduled that visit with CU in early December, but we have not spoken much since," Davis explained. "I am sure the dead period has something to do with it."

Davis has also scheduled visits to Utah State and UNLV. "I am going to Utah State on the 12th and UNLV on the 26th. Those are my top schools right now. I would say UNLV is my favorite with Utah State second. Those schools are showing the most interest. Utah State came to four of my games this year and UNLV also came to a couple. Colorado is after those schools."

The Monrovia star says his grades are good. "I need to bring my core GPA up to a 2.6, but I am on track. I got an 810 on the SAT so I'm good there."
