Boyles Has CU in Final Four

Anthony Boyles visited Colorado the weekend of November 11th and had a fantastic trip. He almost committed to the Buffs but opted to keep his options open and later committed to Washington on a trip to Seattle. Since then, the coach that recruited him to the Huskies has left for Arizona State and thus he has re-opened his recruitment. The Buffs are back in it and here is the latest.

"I am a soft commit to Washington right now," were the words of Scout.com's no.11 wide receiver in the nation, Anthony Boyles. "The main schools recruiting me right now are Colorado, Oregon and Washington. I do not have a leader."

Boyles had been committed to the Huskies. It was assumed that since the recruiting coach at Washington that had enticed Boyles to Seattle, Eric Yarber, is now at Arizona State, that Boyles would be giving the Sun Devils a look. That is not the case says Boyles. "When Coach Yarber left Washington he promised Coach (Tyrone) Willingham that he would not recruit me to Arizona State. So I am not looking at them."

Even though he says the main schools recruiting him are UW, OU and CU, there is another school creeping into the mix. "I am planning a trip for Arizona on the 19th and I am taking my trip to Oregon, I believe, next weekend."

The Ducks' staff is the only one to do an in-home visit with Boyles thus far. "Washington has been by the school a couple of times but they have not been in my home."

Boyles made waves this past week as he was named the top player in the east-west all-star game in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, being named the MVP. "I had two receptions, but they were for 82 yards and one touchdown and I was named the game's MVP."

One thing the Gardena receiver is looking for is early playing time. "I think I could play the soonest at either Washington or Colorado."

Coach Kiesau is recruiting him for the Buffs.

Boyles says that his core GPA is fine and he recently took the SAT for the second time and believes he did well on it.
