Buffs Add Stanford to 2007 Hoops Slate

As part of an agreement between the Big 12 and Pac-10 conferences that will pit teams from the powerhouse leagues against each other over the next four years, the Colorado Buffaloes have added Stanford to their 2007-08 men's basketball schedule.

Both the Big 12 and Pac-10 conferences announced on Thursday a four-year series of games between teams from both leagues. The conferences have agreed to play 12 games against each other each year for the next four years.

"Our two conferences annually produce highly rated teams and multiple NCAA Tournament teams," Big 12 commissioner Kevin Weiberg said in a statement. "This series will provide quality match-ups that will help to build the strength of our teams' non-conference schedules. We are excited to have the opportunity to do this with the Pac-10 in a way that allows all of our teams to participate."

As part of the series, Colorado will host Stanford Dec. 2 in a non-conference matchup.
