Amie Still Considering Colorado?

Lee High School (Tyler, Texas) player Jacob Amie tripped to Boulder over the weekend. Is the wide receiver prospect still considering Colorado after his visit?

"I had a good time. I'm really considering going up there," Jacob Amie told BSN about his visit to CU Tuesday evening.

Amie tripped to Colorado this past weekend with Shawn Daniels and Chaz Cervino. Amie got to hit the ESPN Zone in Denver on his way from the airport, and took in the mountains that frame Boulder, too, he said.

Junior wide receiver Patrick Williams, who prepped an hour-and-a-half away from Amie at DeSoto High, was Amie's host.

"He treated me real nice. He's a real cool guy," Amie said.

At 6-foot-4 and a half, and over 215 pounds, Amie is being recruited at CU as a wide receiver. He initially verbally committed to Texas Tech last August, but opened his recruitment the following month. He visited Nebraska in December and was set to visit Oklahoma State in recent weeks until bad weather cancelled the trip.

Amie has one more official remaining. He plans to be in Columbia, Mo., this coming weekend for a look at Missouri's program. He said he'll pull the trigger between when he gets back home from Missouri and the Feb. 7 Signing Day.

One of the things Amie said he liked about Colorado is the chance to play early.

"Coach Kiesau, he said I had a great chance of starting if I go up there and do everything I had to do," Amie said.
