Signing Day Surprise!

Colorado landed a huge signing day surprise when Hawaiian native Sione Tau faxed in his letter of intent to the Colorado football offices. He is the top tackle prospect on the islands this year and comes at a major need position for the Buffs.

When Colorado lost Garth Gerhart to Arizona State yesterday CU fans were down but today that gloom was alleviated by the commitment of one of the top offensive tackle prospects in the nation, Sione Tau.

Tau sent in his letter of intent to the Colorado football offices just a few minutes ago to the cheers and hollering of the CU staff.

Tau, a 6-foot-6, 285-pounder is the second Hawai'i player to commit to CU in as many days joining Kealaka'i Maiava from Wailuku Baldwin.

The Buffalo Sports News will attempt to speak with Tau tonight for his comments.
