Visit Report: E.J. Woods

E.J. Woods just returned from his trip to Boulder. Find out what the defensive back prospect from Crespi Carmelite in southern California had to say about the visit inside.

E.J. Woods.

Woods, the 4-star defensive back prospect is done taking trips after his official visit to Colorado this weekend, he told BSN Sunday evening.

Woods, Scout.com's No. 10-ranked safety prospect in the country, originally committed to UCLA, but opened up his recruitment after Karl Dorrell was fired.

Though he had a good visit to Boulder, he still has not made a final decision on his school of choice.

"My trip went well," he said.

What stuck out about the Colorado program? "The brotherhood of the player," Woods said. "Everybody is close. You can just see that. All the football players were hanging out playing Xbox 360 together; just chillin'. I like that.

"I go to Crespi (Carmelite). It's an all-boys school, and that's what we do – we're just always hanging out together.

"I want to be somewhere that feels like home — and Colorado kind of feels like home."

The 6-foot, 195-pound athlete plays running back and linebacker for Crespi. Colorado coaches talked to him about playing safety or corner at Colorado, he said.

He took an official visit to Washington in October. UCLA is roughly five minutes from his home, so he's waiting to see who is hired there.

Who is Woods' leader?

"I'm not sure right now," he said. "It's just going to go down to the wire. But I really like Colorado, a lot."
