Broomfield HS Kevin Eberhart Gets His Kicks

After watching Kevin Eberhart punt and kick for the Broomfield Eagles this past weekend, Buffs fans can look forward to a great athlete, not just a kicker, coming to CU next season.

The Broomfield Eagles lost their playoff game to the Gateway Olympians last Saturday 17-7, but I saw the future of CU special teams in person.

Kevin Eberhart, a 6', 180 pound senior is not only the Eagles punter and kicker, but he also plays WR and DB.

Eberhart's two kick-offs were the highest kicks I have ever seen and they both landed in the back of the endzone. His, punts were too. Every kick was a sky ball and time after time he pinned Gateway deep in their own territory. Eberhart unofficially averaged about 44 yards.

But what separates Eberhart from other kickers and punters is that he is a DB at heart. He loves to hit and play on offense as well. He finished with two receptions for 20 yards and several tackles.

Do not be surprised if Eberhart does more than just kick for the Buffs next season.
