Big 12 Tickets On Sale

Get your tickets to Houston and cheer on your Big 12 champion CU Buffs.

BOULDER - Tickets for this year's Big 12 Conference championship game that will pit the North Division champion Colorado Buffaloes against the South Division champion will go on sale Monday.

The game will be played at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, December 7, with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m. mountain time. Reliant is the home field of the Houston Texans, the latest expansion team in the National Football League. Colorado's allotment is approximately 8,400 tickets in the 69,500-seat stadium.

Tickets will go on sale to Colorado residents and CU students beginning 8:30 a.m. Monday (Nov. 18). Individuals wishing to purchase tickets by phone may do so by calling 303-492-8337 (800-872-8337 outside the Denver metro area). Walk up orders will be taken at the Athletic Ticket Office, located between gates 4 and 5 of Folsom Stadium. Tickets are priced at $92.00 and $72.00.

CU alumni living outside the state of Colorado are asked to contact the CU Alumni Association at 303-492-8484. Tickets will not be available via the internet, as there is no way to determine in-state or alumni purchases from those that might come from other states or from fans of other programs.

Season ticket holders and athletic donors were given the opportunity to reserve tickets during a priority period that ended this past Friday (Nov. 14). Tickets for season ticket holders and donors that submitted their requests during the priority period were assigned their seats in advance of tickets going on sale to the public.

Last year, CU sold out its allotment of 8,500 tickets, most on the first day they became available, as the Buffs had basically two days to sell them per conference rule. That won't be the case this time, with two weeks remaining in the regular season, but those fans interested should still act quickly to secure tickets.
