Roberts Talks Visit To Colorado

Jeramie Roberts, a big offensive linemen from Garland, Texas, visited Boulder recently. Inside, find out what Roberts thought of his unofficial visit and where he stands in his recruiting.

At 6-4 ½, and weighing close to 310 pounds, South Garland High School's Jeramie Roberts still moves pretty well. That's one of the reasons he's played both ways for South Garland, and one of the reasons he's earned 14 scholarship offers to date.

Roberts went on a road trip with his family recently, and spent some time in Colorado.

"We drove around Boulder for about four days and on the last day I stopped by the school and met with the coaches," Roberts told's Mike Bakas. "They have a beautiful campus. I just loved it. They're definitely one of the schools I'm looking at."

Colorado offensive line coach Jeff Grimes grew up in Garland, Texas, the same city where Roberts lives. Roberts has also visited Baylor and Miami, and said he came away impressed with the Hurricanes program. He also plans an unofficial visit to Kansas before school starts.

Those four programs make up his current top four.

"I'm just trying to get to as many of them as I can to see what it's like," he told "The schools at the top of my list right now are Miami, Colorado, Baylor and Kansas.

"All four have already offered me a scholarship. The main things I'll be looking at are the campus, the academics, and, of course, the football team. They're all even right now."
