Kasa earns honor

The No. 1 high school football player in the state of Colorado and one of the best defensive end prospects in the country has been selected to play in a postseason All-Star game.

Nick Kasa, a 6-foot-7, 250-pound, five-star prospect from Legacy High School in Broomfield will receive his official invitation Friday to the Army All-America game Jan. 3 in San Antonio.

Kasa is considering numerous schools as college destinations, but he has said his two favorites are Colorado and Florida.

CU coach Dan Hawkins has done a good job in his first two recruiting cycles at keeping the best in-state talent home, but luring Kasa to Boulder could be the stiffest challenge yet.
