Kasa on campus

The Colorado football program is expected to host as many as 10 recruits this weekend for the Buffs' game against Iowa State on Saturday, coach Dan Hawkins said this week.

The top in-state target in the 2009 recruiting class has made many visits to CU in the past, but Kasa is scheduled to make his official visit with the Buffs this week.

Kasa, a defensive end from Legacy High School in Broomfield, recently accepted an invitation to play in the Army All-America game in San Antonio in January. He remains undecided about his college future and is most interested in Colorado and Florida, but also is considering Cal and Oregon.

Kasa visited Gator country earlier this season and was impressed, according to his father.

Kasa is a five-star prospect as rated by Scout.com and is ranked the No. 4 defensive end in the country.

Defensive line is an area of need for the Buffs in this class, though Hawkins always likes to sign several linemen on both sides of the ball in just about every recruiting class. CU is expected to sign four or five defensive linemen in the 2009 class.

Check back later today for more updates on other visitors this week.
