Four-star linebacker visiting

Colorado football coaches are expecting between seven and 10 recruits on campus Saturday when the Buffs take on Iowa State at Folsom Field. One of them is a coveted linebacker who lists the Buffs in his top three.

Michael Clay, a 6-foot, 205-pound playmaker from Bellarmine Prep in San Jose, Calif., will fly to Colorado on Saturday morning after competing in a regular-season game with his team tonight, his father, Rodney, told BuffaloSportsNews.

Clay is a four-star prospect with offers from multiple programs in conferences across the west. Clay lists the Buffs in his top three along with Oregon and Fresno State. He also boasts offers from Cal, Washington, Washington State and Utah among others.

Clay made 110 tackles during his junior season, and helped lead his team to the WCAL title.

With only one home game remaining after Saturday and that being against Oklahoma State, this weekend is expected to be the final big recruiting weekend in-season this year for CU coaches. There will be other weekends in December and January in which larger groups of recruits will visit.

Check back later for more updates on other visitors this weekend. We hope to have updates on the visits Sunday night and early next week.
