No Word On Status Of CU's Walhroos

After being arrested for public intoxication, CU LB Drew Walhroos status for Saturday's Alamo Bowl remains unclear. Walhroos did practice with the team on Weds. but Head Coach Gary Barnett would not say if he will play. Find out the latest from San Antonio here.

CU LB Drew Walhroos and DT Will Down were both arrested for public intoxication Tuesday night on the historic San Antonio River Walk.

Down, a red-shirt freshman was sent home that morning. Walhroos, the team's third leading tackler remained with the team, but his playing status is still uncertain.

Sources close to the team believe that Walhroos will suit up with the team Saturday, but will not start.

Better news and notes from San Antonio:

- Struggling CU kicker Pat Brougham will be the team's kicker for the Alamo Bowl despite missing three fieldgoals against Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game and only hitting 11 of 25 fieldgoal attempts this season.

- As of now, it seems that Jr. RB Chris Brown will return to Boulder for his senior season. Comments from his father have indicated that Brown has no intentions on leaving Colorado early. Brown has not commented because he is trying to focus on returning after a two game absence due to a bruised sternum. The deadline for underclassmen to declare their eligibility is Jan. 15th.
