That was before the Fiesta Bowl.
After Willis McGahee blew out his knee in the Hurricanes loss to Ohio State, many draft experts believe that the NFL lost one of the top college backs. With that, it could open the door for CU RB Chris Brown to declare himself eligible for the NFL.
With MaGahee out of the picture, the potential of Brown being drafted early by a NFL team in need of a strong runner has grown stronger.
As of now, Chris Brown is not speaking to the media but will have to declare himself eligible for the draft before the deadline of Jan. 16th.
Meanwhile, the rumors surrounding Marcus Houston transferring from CU continue to mount.
All right, the culinary school may be a joke, but so is UCLA, where new RB coach Eric Beiniemy is now the coach. We all know how well those two get along.
According to Houston's father Herman, Marcus has not yet decided on his future. One thing is for sure in covering Marcus Houston and CU for years is that he is going to make his decision based on academics as well as football. His Just Say Know program may just keep him in the state.
Out of all the rumors flying around the one that Buffs Insider is hearing the most is that Houston is considering moving up north to Ft. Collins and joining Sonny Lubick and the CSU Rams.
