Future Buff Named To All-American Team

While many recruiting experts have been lowering the rank of CU's class of 2003, the Buffs received some good news about their recruit Brian Daniels.

Many CU fans have not been happy with how the Buffs recruiting class of 2003 has turned out. (See Buffs Message Board for details)

While several recruits have been lost to other schools since the departurte of Jon Embree and Eric Bieniemy, the Buffs did receive some good news about one of their blue chip recruits.

Brian Daniels, the big offensive lineman from Denver's Mullen high school, has been named to Parade's All-American team. He now joins an impressive list of players that include Marcus Allen, John Elway and Joe Montana to name a few.

The 6-4", 280 pound lineman has orally committed to CU over a year ago and is among 55 players receiving the honor. He was also named to the All-Colorado team the past two seasons and has a record of 16-1 wrestling record at Mullen for the 2002-2003 season.

Daniel's Mullen Mustangs finished the season 10-2 and lost to the eventual state champion Columbine Rebels. Daniels is a quick kid for his size and is desparately needed on a CU offensive line that has lost several seniors the past two seasons.

Hopefully, Daniels will have a more successful career at CU than the last two Parade All-Americans who went to Colorado, Marcus Houston from Thomas Jefferson HS and Craig Ochs from Fairview HS.
