Buffs Get Another Commitment From Texas

Buffs land huge offensive lineman Kharylake Martin from Texas. The committment brings CU's total to 23.

One of the Buff's biggest concerns going into the 2003 season was on the offensive line, but their worries were eased with the signing of their newest commitment.

Top offensive lineman Kharylake Martin, from Dayton Texas High School, has committed to the University of Colorado.

Martin is around 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds and if you can believe it has lost about 20 pounds. The Buffs would like him to lose some more weight and would probably redshirt his freshman year to help do so.

While the Buffs have lost several committments of late, Martin was a big score. He was offered scholarships by Oklahoma, Southern Methodist and Central Florida and turned down visits to Texas A&M and Texas Tech. With the signing of Martin, CU now has a total of 23 committments and are still hoping to land star WR Stephone Robinson and Carnell Stewart.
