Big Ten offer for Ameen-Moore

Adonis Ameen-Moore has led his high school team to back-to-back state championships at the highest level of prep football in Colorado the past two years. Now he's beginning to hear from a lot of schools at the next level. The latest is a member of the Big Ten. Get inside for more.

Northwestern offered Adonis Ameen-Moore a scholarship over the weekend. It was a surprise for the talented running back from Mullen High School about 15 minutes south of downtown Denver.

Northwestern is the third team to offer Ameen-Moore and the first program out of state. Colorado and Colorado State previously offered.

"I think it's pretty good," Ameen-Moore said of his impression of Northwestern. "You already know the academics are good. I think they're looking pretty good."

Ameen-Moore said he has never been to the Northwestern campus, but he would be interested in a visit. He attended junior day at Nebraska earlier this month and came away impressed with the Cornhuskers. That program is one of his two early leaders, along with Washington, even though he doesn't hold an offer from either program.

Ameen-Moore ran for more than 1,600 yards as a junior and scored 22 touchdowns. He has 59 career touchdowns entering his senior season.
