"I'm just honored to get my first offer, and the offer coming from a school like Boston College is truly exciting," Luatua said. "That first offer means a lot to my family and I. Boston College is a great academic school, with big time college football, in a big time conference."
Luatua, a 6-foot-3, 295-pound prospect who has played offensive and defensive line as well as fullback in his high school career, is hearing from a variety of programs across the nation.
Luatua says he is keeping an open mind in recruiting and doesn't have his sights set on any particular school. He said he wants to find the best fit for himself.
Luatua will likely play guard at the college level, though it wouldn't be a surprise to hear programs wanting to give him a shot on the defensive side of the ball as well. He is known as a tough aggressive player. He has developed most as an offensive lineman under head coach Mike Moschetti, a former quarterback at Colorado.
Luatua is unsure of what camps he might participate in this summer or if he will be doing any traveling this spring to visit different campuses for junior days.
