After participating in basketball practice at the University of Colorado I was anxious to be able to attend one without being involved. Alumni of the men's team got that opportunity the Friday before CU took on Missouri.
I thought readers may enjoy seeing a copy of what Coach Patton typically puts his players through on an average day of practice. I was given the opportunity to work as an assistant coach for a year w/ Colorado, and it just so happens I kept a folder for practice plans.
On a typical day this occurs after the players have attended Study Table at 7am, followed by a few classes between 8 and 12am. Weight lifting usually happens after practice during the season. Following that, there is a training table meal at Dal Ward Athletic Center. After eating there is usually another study table session for an hour or two.
Hope you enjoy the plan below.
