Greg Jensen's Take On Tonight's Game

Former Buff star Greg Jensen gives his take and a prediction for tonight's huge game with Oklahoma State.

Jensen's Take: Oklahoma State (9-5, 20-7) will take on Colorado (7-7, 17-10) on Wednesday night in the Coors Events Center. This is one of this seasons biggest games for Colorado ). Oklahoma State is making its first trip to Boulder since that tragic day two years ago when one of their charter plane's crashed in Eastern Colorado killing 2 players and 8 others affiliated with the OSU program. It is not known whether anything will be done to remember those who died during Wednesday nights game.

CU is making a strong bid for an at large berth in the NCAA tournament and #18 Oklahoma State is trying to regain some momentum going into the Big XII tournament. OSU is battling Missouri for the #4 seed and a first round bye in the conference tournament (they'll face Texas A&M in Stillwater to finish their regular season, while Mizzou is at ISU and home vs. Kansas).

It was nice to see Kansas win at Texas Tech on Big Monday. This gives the Red Raiders a 6-9 record in the conference with one game to play (at Baylor). That assures Texas Tech of a losing record in the Big XII and should give Colorado a 5th or 6th place finish in the conference.

The team that comes out on top in this one will win the battle on the boards. Look for OSU to push the tempo of the game and try to take away Blair Wilson's perimeter shot. Colorado will have the advantage on the front line and should look to wear down Oklahoma State w/ David Harrison, Stephan Pelle and Lamar Harris. Colorado's Michelle Morandais will be playing on a gimpy ankle I don't see him getting much playing time. You certainly don't want to have him reinjure the ankle and not be able to help the team in the tournaments. It will be up to the rest of the team to pick up the slack and get another victory at home.

I don't think 7-9 in conference play is going to get anyone into the Big Dance this season. Be sure to get out and support CU in the final two home games of the season (It could prove to be the difference on . Get your tickets early because this is potentially the game of the week.

Jensen's Prediction: CU 65 OSU 62
